2009 Ewomen Speakers Include:
Anita Renfroe
It's been a wild decade going from "stay-at-home-mom" to "YouTube comedic Phe-mom-enon" but Anita Renfroe doesn't mind. With her unique brand of estrogen flavored musical comedy and blend of sass, edge and slightly offbeat takes on All Things Female, audiences at her comedy concert tours, viewers of Good Morning America appearances and the YouTube masses who enjoyed her William Tell version of everything a Mom says would say that Anita just tells it like it is. Some would say she just says what everyone else is thinking, but won't say out loud. "I'd rather people laugh because they relate to something I say than because I wrote a clever punchline, " Anita says. "All my stuff is about my life - it's real and it connects people - and that's a wonderful thing." |

2009 Ewomen Performers Include:
Amy Grant
Conventional wisdom has it that Amy Grant put Contemporary Christian music on the map. She surely did that, achieving such breakthroughs as being the first Contemporary Christian artist to have a platinum record, the first to hit #1 pop and the first to perform at the Grammys. Yet perhaps her greatest accomplishment was to open the door for a flood of other artists in pop as well as rock to sing about faith and soul and family and still grasp stardom. With that, her legacy as one of the most influential artists of the past couple of decades is assured. |
Charles Billingsley
Charles Billingsley sang his first solo in church in 1987 and the rest, as they say, is history. He began his fulltime ministry in 1992 after graduating from college. For two years, he sang with Newsong, an award-winning Contemporary Christian music group. Since then, he has had a successful career as a solo artist, singing in as many as 200 or more concerts a year. He recently co-wrote a song with Don Koch and Brian White that reached No. 1 for three consecutive weeks, entitled "A Loss for Words" from his latest project, Secret Conversation.
When he is not traveling, Charles currently lives in southern California where he serves as the Pastor of Music & Praise at Shadow Mountain Community Church, with his wife Shae, and two sons, Caleb and Cooper.
