Wondering what all the talk about emergent church and emergent worship is all about? In this CCN broadcast, two experts will look at Worship in the Emerging Church : What Resonates with Post-Christian Generations. Author and pastor Dan Kimball and Sally Morgenthaler, author of Worship Evangelism , speak from their experience in developing an innovative approach to post-modern worship.
“As culture changes, expressions of worship change,” Dan says. “It has happened throughout the history of the church and we are now in another cultural change that we must pay attention to.”
What reached the Baby Boomers will not be effective in connecting with post-modern hearts and minds.
“We are seeing a refreshing move to include all of the person — the mind, the heart, and the body — in how we worship and how learn about God,” Dan says.
In this practical seminar, you will learn how emerging worship services involve the whole person in the worship experience:
- Discover how preaching and singing differ from the more traditional and seeker-targeted churches.
- Learn how to utilize elements such as art and interactive prayer stations.
- Understand the role of volunteer worship teams, in moving away from concert-like worship toward a more intimate, hands-on approach.
Worship in the Emerging Church will help make your church a place of worship for the next generation!
