Grace. Joy. Freedom.
Are those the first words that come to mind when you think of finances? They could be!

Grace, joy, and freedom are words people most often use to describe their experience of Good $ense—a proven, biblical resource for changing hearts and lives in the area of finances.

Field tested for more than sixteen years at Willow Creek and other churches, Good $ense can help relieve the crushing stress and anxiety caused by consumer debt, restore marriages torn by conflict over money, heal wounded self-esteem and shattered confidence resulting from poor financial decisions, and remove stumbling blocks to spiritual growth.

Everyone in your church can experience the joy of financial freedom. This course serves a range of people - those in financial crisis, those just "one paycheck from disaster", those in "good" financial shape (but perhaps not honoring God with their resources) and those who are honoring God with their resources, but who want to deepen their understanding of God's stewardship call. More than just a learning experience about budgets and finances, this course enables participants to reflect on their relationship to money and how it impacts their relationship to God.

Good $ense will help the people in your church discover tools and develop skills that enable them to control their finances rather than allowing their finances to control them. They’ll receive practical help and guidance to:
• Prioritize financial goals
• Develop a personalized spending plan
• Identify action steps to reduce expenses
• Reduce debt . . . and much more

Dick Towner is the Willow Creek Association’s executive director for the Good Sense Stewardship Movement. He is also the primary author of the WCA’s Good Sense curriculum. Prior to arriving at Willow Creek Community Church in 1992, Dick served 13 years as the minister of administration at a church in Cincinnati. He also spent 14 years in university administration. Dick serves on the board of Christian Stewardship Association and on the President’s Council of Christian Management Association.
